I love the sunset hour or as my friend Ash calls it, "the golden hour". I love the calmness of the sun setting, hearing the sound of the waves, feeling the soft breeze, the smell of the pine trees and rosemary. It's a time of reflection for me, reminding me how lucky and blessed I am in my life. The end of another day with the promise of new adventures tomorrow.

Cavtat has had some amazing sunsets, the colors and cloud formations never cease to amaze me. It's hard to capture the whole experience in a photo but will forever be in my mind.
With the end of my summer in Croatia quickly coming to an end, I can't help but reflect on what an amazing time I have had and all the amazing places that I have visited. Starting in Istria, the most northern region of Croatia all the way to the most southern tip of Dubrovnik with stays on the islands of Vis, Brac, and Solta in between. it has been an incredible experience. Even spending a week in Italy. It's hard to believe I have been gone 3 1/2 months.
I am often asked about traveling alone and how I handle it. For the most part, I enjoy traveling alone. I like being able to make my own schedule, doing what I want to do, going where I want to go and when. I enjoy the freedom traveling alone affords me.
On the other hand, I sometimes miss having a friend to have dinner or a drink with at the end of the day. Talking about the day's adventures and laughing about the fun things that happened.
Luckily with WhatsApp I am able to connect with my friends and family to share my day whenever I feel the need. Also Instagram and Facebook gives me that social connection to see what other people are doing and keep in touch with family and friends.
I love posting my photos and making videos of my experiences. Setting them to music, picking the right setting. It gives me joy to share my excitement of discovery.
I also hope that my photos and postings give people the desire to travel and see the world and break out of their every day reality for even a short time. Our time is short, life passes fast.
There is a whole world out there to discover. It's our choice how we decide to live our life. As long as I can still think on my own, laugh, walk, talk...I'm gonna keep on truckin'!
